"I'll have some iced tea and make it sweet please," Rick said with a smile on his face. He went over and sat down at Dexter's table. Then he went on to reply to Dexter's joke. "And don't worry little brother," Rick said with a smile on his face. "I'm not going to be here long. I just popped over to see how you are and make sure you don't need anything," Rick told Dexter as Dexter was fixing Rick some sweet iced tea. Then he went on to talk about their baby sister. "Yea, she's doing great, though you probably should go see her sometime. I know she would really appreciate it," Rick said as Dexter sat down Rick's glass of sweet iced tea.

Rick took a couple of drinks and then sat it back down and then went on speaking, this time on Dexter and his unusual habit that not only almost got him the death penalty, but his doctor's license taken away. "But what about you?" Rick asked and then another, bigger drink of his tea. "You haven't fallen back into your old ways, have you?" he asked being serious. "You still taking your medication and going to your meetings?" he asked, not trying to be the cop that he was, even though sometimes he couldn't help it. But he was also asking these questions as Dexter's big brother. The last thing he wanted to do was go to his own brother's execution because he couldn't control his impulses to kill people, even though Dexter only killed those who were the worst of the worst criminals.

Rick smiled and then let out a soft chuckle as he walked into Dexter's house. "Everyone's fine. Jennie's doing great," he told Dexter once he was completely inside Dexter's home.  "And yea, I should have called, but, eh, I thought I would take a chance and come by," he  said still chuckling a little bit. 

"So little brother," Rick ssaid as he took off his Sherriff's "Aren't you going to offer me a cup of coffee or something cold and wet to drink?" he asked his little brother. "Unless you are in a hurry to get to work or something," he said. "Then I'll just visit a minute and be on my way," he added. 

After getting himself ready for work, he kissed Jennie goodbye and headed off to the Police Station. But before he went to the station, he decided to go see his younger brother, who was a doctor by trade, but Rick had a feeling there was more to his brother than anyone knew. But that never stopped him or Jennie from loving Dexter. Anyway, after finally pulling out of Jennie's driveway, he headed down the road to the othe side of town, where Dex lived. 

It took about 30 minutes or a little less to get to Dexter's house. Once he finally got there and  pulled into Dexter's drive, it occured to Rick that he probably should have called first before just showing up. Of course he couldn't help but chuckle at that thought knowing it was now too late for that. So, after shutting down his car, Rick got out and went up to Dexter's door and waited for his little brother to answer.
