When Michael got back to his desk, he found a strange message for him and him only. He didn't know who this Louis De Pointe Du Lac was, but his message was intriguing. In fact, Michael couldn't help but reread it repeatedly, until he had memorized it and could recite it by heart. He knew that he should just leave it alone and go home to his wife, but there was something inside of him that was telling him to go and at least check it out. He ran different scenarios in his head starting with someone might be in trouble and this was his only way of asking for help or maybe it was some kind of clue for an unsolved murder. Michael sat back in his chair for quite a while before making up his mind to go. But the first thing he had to do was call his wife and tell her he was going to be late coming home.

Once that was done and even though he knew Laura wasn't happy, but he would make it up to her later. Michael sat there in his chair at his desk trying to do his work until it was time to leave. Finally, 5 o'clock rolled around and after putting his stuff away and cleaning up his desk, Michael went and got into his car. Normally he would have taken off his gun belt and put it in his toolbox on the back of his truck, but he decided to keep it with him just in case. Michael drove to where Louis said he would be and even though his curiosity did get the best of him, he was still going to be very cautious. After parking his truck, Michael slowly got out of his truck and started to look around. At first, he didn't see anything, so he decided to call out. "HELLO? IS ANYBODY HERE?" Michael shouted as he stood by his truck, now unsure what to do next.
